CAMARO "Donation" TICKETS

I have received two dozen tickets for the drawing of the 2011 bright red Chevy Camaro Convertible
to be given away by John McCarthy Auto Sales of Kansas City.  For a donation of $40, you will receive
one ticket.  One ticket per person!   There are only 3,000 tickets being sold.  The drawing will be held
on November 15.

AT&T DSL Internet Service

AT&T has informed Andrew Brown on Chestnut St that if they receive enough phone calls requesting
DSL service to Reading that it is a possibility.     Phone:  800-697-6500
Request that DSL service be wired into Reading.

Reading Bank Available

Mr. Moyer has announced that he will begin moving into the bank building on
Saturday, October 15.  They will be begin opening accounts on Friday, October 21
with an "official" opening scheduled for November 15.

Housing Team Meeting

The Public Square housing team will meet Wed, October 12, at 7pm in the UMethodist Church.

If you would like the large magnets rolled over your yard and ditch, get in touch with
Steve Burnett (785-410-0210) by Friday night.  There is a large group of K-State volunteers
coming in this Saturday that could do this.

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

As announced at the regular council meeting last week, there will be a "special" city council meeting
to go over and accept a bid for the grinding of tree stumps on city property and right-a-ways.
Information on the bid specs and process can be obtained from City Hall, 699-3870.

Reading School Donation Opportunity

The Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons are arriving and we have much to be
grateful for this year!  If you are willing to share with all of the children of

He needs to have a 100 letters this week. 

A portable post office is available, but the District Manager needs to give the okay
to send it and set it up.

Please write a polite letter of request and mail it this week.

RCD MEETING

Reading Community Development is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Oct 11,
at 7pm in the United Methodist Church.
